About being a Table Captain
When you sign up to host a table at the Reach for the Stars luncheon, we will email you a packet of information with helpful tips on recruiting guests and more information on the event. As a Table Captain, we ask that you commit to recruiting 9 guests to join you at your table, to ensure your guests register for the event, and keep in touch with the Starlight staff as you recruit your guests. The day of the event we ask you to act as an entusiastic Starlight ambassador and pass out pledge cards to the guests at your table.

Everything Starlight does is designed to help families survive when the crisis of serious childhood illness strikes. While researchers look for cures and doctors work to restore a child’s health, Starlight focuses on restoring the entire family’s spirits every day, for as long as a child is sick.
We have programs in hospitals that distract children from their pain and help them pass long hours; we have programs outside hospitals that help children manage their illnesses and enable families to create meaningful memories. The Starlight community helps families put the pieces back together and prepare them to weather whatever challenge may come next.
